With more than 12 years of experience as a lawyer, Juni is the key contact person at Budidjaja International Lawyers for Aviation and Shipping; Corporate Merger and Acquisition; and Foreign Direct Investment and Joint Ventures. Her experience includes advising numerous domestic and international investors on business structures for a variety of investments and joint venture projects.
In shipping practices, Juni has been involved in
non-contentious shipping matters and a wide range of shipping disputes, including in relation to groundings, collisions, wreck removal, cargo loss, and oil pollution incidents.
Juni has written widely on legal topics, including as the Indonesian contributor to “European Lawyer Reference: Corporate Governance” published by Thomson Reuters (2013) which she co-wrote with Tony Budidjaja and the forthcoming Corporate Governance and Directors’ Duties Multijurisdictional Guide (Thomson Reuters Practical Law, 2014-2015). She is also a regular contributor to the World Bank’s “Doing Business” project since 2010 and has been invited by the Coordinating Ministry for Economics Affairs as Indonesian delegate to participate in the 2014 APEC Ease of Doing Business Workshop in Beijing, China.
Juni was acknowledged as one of the world’s leading corporate governance lawyers by “Who’s Who Legal” in 2014 and 2015. She is recognized as a Leading Lawyers in the sector of Intellectual Property in 2012 and as Rising Star for the practice area “Shipping, Maritime & Aviation”, by Asialaw Leading Lawyers in 2015 - 2016. Recently, she has been awarded as M&A Lawyer of the Year - Indonesia by Corporate LiveWire in 2016, and has also been shortlisted as finalists for Women Lawyer of the Year and Young Lawyer of the Year in the Asian Legal Business Indonesia Law Awards 2016.
Juni is a board member of the Indonesian Maritime Law Association (IMLA) and a member of the Maritime Law Association of Singapore (MLAS). She is also a member of the Indonesian Bar Association (PERADI) and she has been admitted to practice in Indonesian courts.
Juni graduated from the University of Tarumanagara, Faculty of Law, with a Bachelor of Law degree, and named as the best graduate student in 2003.
She speaks Indonesian and English.
