Tony is an accredited mediator and arbitrator in Indonesia and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb). Tony sits on the panel of approved mediators and arbitrators of domestic and international dispute resolution institutions among others the Kuala Lumpur Regional Centre for Arbitration (KLRCA), the Indonesian Commodities Arbitration Body (BAKTI), the Indonesia National Board of Arbitration (BANI), and the Conflict Resolution Unit (CRU) of the Indonesia Business Council for Sustainable Development (IBCSD).

Tony has more than 20 years’ standing as a legal counsel with extensive experience and expertise in commercial dispute resolution (both in Indonesia and overseas); Bankruptcy and Corporate Restructuring; Capital Markets; Environment, Energy, and Natural Resources; Insurance and Re-Insurance; Tax; Investigation and Compliance; Government Affairs and Public Policy. Tony is also one of the few legal practitioners in Indonesia who is qualified as both capital market legal consultant and tax court attorney.

Tony graduated from the University of Tarumanagara, Indonesia, with a Bachelor of Law degree in Business Law (1996) and from the University of Leiden, Netherlands, with a Master of Law degree in International Business Law (2001).

Tony has written a number of books, articles and columns and has been a presenter and speaker at numerous seminars, workshops, and courses in Indonesia and overseas on a wide range of subjects, including on business contract, business reorganization, judicial reform, bankruptcy, corporate litigation, arbitration, and alternative dispute resolution.

He is the book author of “Public Policy as Grounds for Refusal of Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards in Indonesia” published by Tatanusa (2001), the Indonesian contributor for “International Commercial Arbitration in Asia” published by Juris Publishing (2013) and “The Asia-Pacific Arbitration Review” published by Global Arbitration Review (since 2014).

Together with his partner, Juni Dani, Tony also authored an article on “Corporate Governance” published by Thomson Reuters (2013) and “Corporate Governance and Director’s Duties in Indonesia: Overview”, published by Practical Law - Thomson Reuters (2015).

For his social contribution, Tony is a co-founder and/or management board member of many social organizations having objective to eradicate poverty and corruption, or to promote the progressive development of democracy, human rights, and rule of law in Indonesia.

He speaks Indonesian and English.
