Edly’s areas of practice are Employment/Industrial Relations; E-Commerce, Information Technology and Telecommunication; and Foreign Direct Investment and Joint Ventures. At BIL, he has assisted and advised clients from various business sectors, such as telecommunication, information and technology, intellectual property, e-commerce and information-technology, acquisition, foreign direct investment, and corporate areas.
Edly has been advising on the largest waste management company in Indonesia in various employment matters. Some of these matters include preparing outsourcing agreement and definite-term employment agreement for their employees, calculating termination entitlement for their employees who were terminated. As well as advising on registration of their Collective Bargaining Agreement to regional Manpower Office in Lamongan, East Java.
Edly graduated from the Faculty of Law, Catholic University of Parahyangan in 2013. During his university years, he participated in various student organization activities, including the Student Presidential Body and also serving as the Head of Public Relations of the Student Representative Council.
Edly has assisted in publishing the Thomson Reuters’ European Lawyer Reference: “Corporate Governance” (2013). Furthermore, he was involved in the publication of Ease of Doing Business Report of 2015 until the recent edition (2019) issued by the World Bank Group, and also involved in contributing to the Global Edge employment publication by Squire Patton Boggs for Indonesia.
