Jono’s areas of practice are Banking, Finance and Capital Markets; Corporate Merger and Acquisition; and Foreign Direct Investment and Joint Ventures.

Jono graduated from Pelita Harapan University with a Bachelor of Law degree. He also has a joint Master of Law degree from the University of Dundee (Scotland) and the University of Cergy-Pontoise (France), which he obtained with distinction.

Jono has written legal topics, "Bankruptcy Law/ Hukum Kepailitan" (PT Sinar Grafika, 2008), Independency of Trustee in order to Protect the Bond-Holders’ Interest/ Independensi Wali Amanat Dalam Memberikan Perlindungan Kepada Para Pemegang Obligasi (Law Review Journal FH-UPH, 2004), Legal Analysis of the Trust Fund in the form of Collective Investment Contract as a Trust/ Tinjauan Yuridis Reksa Dana Berbentuk Kontrak Investasi Kolektif Sebagai Suatu Bentuk Trust (Business Law Journal, 2006), and Investment Funds in Indonesia: Regulatory Overview, co-author, Practical Law, A Thomson Reuters Legal Solution, 2015.

He is also a regular contributor to the World Bank’s “Doing Business” 2011, published by World Bank Group.

Jono is a member of the Indonesian Bar Association (PERADI) and has been admitted to practice in Indonesian courts. Further, he is also a member of the Indonesian Association of Trustees in Bankruptcy and Administrators (AKPI) and has been admitted to practice as Trustee in Bankruptcy and Administrator in Indonesia.

He speaks Indonesian, Chinese, and English.
