At Budidjaja International Lawyers (“BIL”), Mustafa is responsible as Special Counsel for the practice groups of Banking, Finance, and Capital Market; Employment and Industrial Relations; and Foreign Direct Investment and Joint Ventures.
Mustafa has over 10 years’ experience and expertise in the areas concerning corporate and commercial matters, mergers and acquisitions, secured transactions, financing and real estate transactions, dispute settlements, mining, hydropower, telecommunication, banking, taxation, initial public offerings and labour related issues.
He possesses advanced international work experience, including working as legal counsel in the Netherlands, Lao PDR and Indonesia. During his time in the Netherlands, he acted as legal consultant for local municipalities and a prominent law firm in the Netherlands, providing legal advice on the Dutch spatial laws and regulations including, spatial planning, feasibility studies and real estate development.
During his period in Lao PDR, he continued his legal career as Senior Consultant for two law firms, advising domestic and foreign clients in matters related to foreign direct investment, real estate, taxation, merger and acquisitions and joint ventures, corporate governance, financing, initial public offerings and labour.
Prior joining BIL, he served with an Indonesian law firm where his responsibilities mainly included advising foreign and domestic investors on the laws of Indonesia, particularly laws on corporate and commercial matters, mergers and acquisitions, secured transactions, financing, real estate transactions, taxation and labour.
Mustafa received his Bachelor of Law (LL. B) degree from Erasmus University in the Netherlands with a specialization in International Tax Law.
Mustafa is fluent in English, Dutch and Turkish.
